GHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of the tripeptide glycyl-histidyl-lysine (Gly-His-Lys). The peptide occurs naturally in human plasma; this material is made synthetically.

  • Type: Copper complex of a tripeptide
  • Molecular weight: 340.4 Da for the peptide alone
  • Size: 50 mg per vial.

Supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed glass vial. Store sealed at −20 °C, away from light and moisture.

Identity, purity and fill results for the lot you receive are on its certificate of analysis.

For in-vitro laboratory research only. Not for human or veterinary use.

◆Handling

Storage and handling

On arrival

Lyophilized material is shipped at ambient temperature and is stable in transit. Move it to cold storage when it arrives, and inspect the seal before storing.

Temperature

−20 °C for long-term storage. 2 to 8 °C is adequate for short periods. −80 °C extends shelf life further.

Freeze-thaw

Repeated freeze-thaw cycles degrade peptides. Allow a vial to reach room temperature before opening, and avoid cycling the same vial more than necessary.

Moisture and light

Lyophilized peptides are hygroscopic. Keep vials sealed, store with desiccant where possible, and keep them away from direct light.

Records

Record the lot number from the label in your laboratory notes. The lot report is linked from this page.

Disposal

Dispose of vials and unused material following your institution's laboratory waste procedures and the rules that apply where you are.

CAUTION: Contains a new drug for investigational use only in laboratory research animals, or for tests in vitro. Not for use in humans.
