Research agreement

These terms apply to every order. You accept them with a signature at checkout.

   Investigational use only

   Every product supplied by Ascension Research contains a new drug for investigational use only in laboratory research animals, or for tests in vitro. Products are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for any use. They are not medicines, foods, cosmetics, dietary supplements or medical devices.

2. 02

   Not for use in humans

   You will not use, administer or apply any product in humans, and will not use it in the manufacture of any food, drug, cosmetic or diagnostic product intended for humans. You will not use products for diagnosis or treatment of any kind.

3. 03

   Qualified purchaser

   You confirm that you are purchasing on behalf of a laboratory, university, company or other research organization; that the work is tests in vitro or research in laboratory animals; and that you have the training, facilities and authorization to receive and handle these materials.

4. 04

   Handling, storage and disposal

   You take responsibility for storing, handling and disposing of products following laboratory safety practice and the rules that apply where you are, and for the safety of everyone who handles them once delivered.

5. 05

   No resale or relabelling

   You will not resell, repackage, relabel, dilute or distribute any product for use in humans, or for any purpose this agreement or the law prohibits, and you will pass these terms on to anyone you transfer material to.

6. 06

   Records

   We keep the recipient, address, date, quantity and lot number of every shipment for at least two years. You agree to record the lot number you receive in your own laboratory records, and to tell us if a product and its certificate of analysis ever disagree.

7. 07

   What we are

   Ascension Research supplies research materials. We are not a pharmacy, a compounding pharmacy or an outsourcing facility, and we give no dosing, preparation or administration guidance. Nothing we publish is medical advice.

8. 08

   Orders we cancel

   Any order, message or account suggesting use in humans is cancelled and refunded. We may ask about your organization and your research before an order ships, and may decline any order.

How you accept

At checkout you confirm each statement above and type your full name as an electronic signature. Your name, your organization and the date are recorded on the order. An order cannot be placed without them.
